The Secret Dairy
THE SECRET DAIRY
LOVE
This is a heartwarming story of Sita, a woman
trapped in a loveless arranged marriage, who finds a secret diary belonging to
her late father. The entries reveal that her husband quietly supported her
family during a major financial crisis, proving his love and selflessness.
Overwhelmed by this secret, she begins to love him deeply, seeing him for the
man he truly is.
Here is the
story:
The Secret of the
Diary
Sita was married
to Rajesh, a quiet man who worked hard but never spoke much about his feelings.
Sita felt no love for him; she believed he was cold, detached, and not the
romantic partner she had dreamed of. She went through the daily chores like a
robot, her heart yearning for something else.
One rainy
afternoon, while cleaning her old family home, Sita stumbled upon an old,
dust-covered diary belonging to her deceased father. Curious, she started
reading it. It was a record of her father's toughest days, particularly when he
was facing bankruptcy and a severe illness, just before her marriage.
As she flipped
through the pages, a shocking truth emerged. In one entry, her father wrote: “I
am defeated. My creditors are knocking at the door. I cannot afford my
daughter's wedding. But then, a quiet angel appeared.”
The diary
detailed how Rajesh—the very man she thought was unfeeling—had approached her
father. He not only gave all his savings to pay off the debts but also insisted
that her father take credit for the repayment to maintain his dignity. He had
taken care of her family's honour without asking for anything in return, not
even her acknowledgment.
Sita realized
that the "coldness" she perceived was actually Rajesh’s deep,
self-sacrificing nature. He was not indifferent; he was protective and
generous. She read how her father prayed for her to have a husband as noble as
Rajesh.
Tears streaming
down her face, Sita closed the diary. The man she had treated with cold
indifference was the savior of her family's reputation.
When Rajesh
returned home that evening, he found the house lit, and a warm dinner ready.
Sita looked at him differently—no longer with resentment, but with profound
admiration and love. She realized she was already loved, deeply and silently.
Moral: Sometimes,
the truest form of love is not in words, but in silent, selfless actions.
